Get to know the bloggers!
Today was our first blogging class at Hope Town Primary School, and the very first assignment for our young journalists was to come up with a name for the blog. We had a great brainstorming session where lots of ideas were shared and the kids ultimately decided on….(drumroll) School ‘N Tings!! Since the purpose of this blog will be to report on events and activities going on both at the school and around Hope Town, we all agreed it was very fitting. Once that was decided, each of the 5th and 6th graders was asked to write a short introductory bio about themselves using prompts, so that as they begin posting their stories and articles, readers will know who the writers are. The class meets once a week on Fridays, and you can see from these pictures we took today, there is a lot of personality in this classroom- click on each image below to read what the kids had to say, and stay tuned for an exciting new post coming next week!
